Owner, President

Anthony F. Cordeiro

Anthony F. Cordeiro is a respected businessman, entrepreneur, and real estate investor in the Greater Fall River area. Since founding Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC in 1987 at the age of 24, he has built a diverse portfolio of successful businesses and commercial and residential real estate holdings throughout the region.

A graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst, Mr. Cordeiro earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting in 1984. He later received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from Bryant University in 1994.

Today, Mr. Cordeiro serves as CEO and President of Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC, Cordeiro Properties, LLC, and Downtown Development Companies. He currently holds insurance licenses in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident, and Health, and is also a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts. In addition, he is a Certified Chartered Pension Professional (CPP). Throughout his career, he also held Series 7, Series 13, and Principal 24 securities licenses.

In addition to his independently owned companies, Mr. Cordeiro serves as Managing Partner of more than 30 limited liability corporations representing over $109 million in real estate assets. His recent ventures include Mechanics Mill One, LLC and Mechanics Mill Two, LLC — the entities that own and operate Commonwealth Landing, a luxury mixed-use development featuring 103 market-rate apartments — as well as Downtown Lofts, a collection of five mixed-use properties featuring 146 luxury market-rate apartments in downtown Fall River.

Mr. Cordeiro has long been committed to supporting the health, education, and economic well-being of the Greater Fall River community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Thomas Chew Memorial Boys & Girls Club and has held leadership roles with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations throughout the region.

His previous community involvement includes serving as:

  • Member of the Board of Directors for St. Anne’s Hospital
  • Member of the Southcoast Health System/Charlton Memorial Hospital President’s Council
  • Member of the Fall River Retirement Board

  • Member of the Board of Directors for Slade’s Ferry Bank (now Rockland Trust), where he also served on the Executive Board and as Chairman of the Finance and Investment Board
  • President of the Fall River Office of Economic Development
  • President of the Southeastern Massachusetts Heart Association

Mr. Cordeiro is also the Founder and CEO of the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic work, he enjoys golfing and spending time in Naples, Florida with his wife, Kyra, and daughters, Melanie and Merrill.

Chief Operations Officer

Helinette Souza

Helinette serves as Chief Operations Officer for Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC, overseeing our company’s administrative and employee relations responsibilities. Helinette supervises our agency’s staff and insurance departments, coordinating human resources and benefits administration for our employees. She also manages the activities of our accounts payable and receivable department and oversees the agency’s marketing strategies and their implementation. Helinette received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1987 and has been with The Cordeiro Group for 35 years.

Helinette is also the Chief Operations Officer for Cordeiro Properties. Her responsibilities include the leasing of premises, accounts payable and receivables, and facilitating communications between tenants and landlords. Helinette also coordinates ongoing maintenance services for the Cordeiro real estate properties.

Committed to improving the lives of children and families here in our community, Helinette also volunteers her time in support of numerous service organizations and fundraising initiatives across Greater Fall River. Helinette was the past president of the Friends of Greater Fall River and the former president of the Friends of Child & Family Services. She also was a committee member for St. Anne’s Hospital’s annual Get Moving Walk, which raised money to support the hospital’s Regional Cancer Care Program. She served as a commissioner of the City of Fall River Licensing Board from 2001 through 2008 and is a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Fall River. Helinette is a member of the Board of Directors for the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation, Inc.

In her leisure time she enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her husband Craig and daughter Jenna.

Chief Financial Officer

Mark Cordeiro

Mark specializes in and manages the Employee Benefits practice at Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC. Mark works directly with employers and Human Resources directors of both small and large companies to help them understand and navigate the changing climate of the health insurance industry. He analyzes renewals and develops and designs strategies to help negotiate pricing, while focusing on meeting our clients’ objectives for their organizations. Mark also works with many of our commercial clients in assisting them with their other insurance needs, such as property and casualty insurance.

A graduate of Bryant University, Mark is currently in the process of obtaining his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Committed to giving back to our community, Mark serves on the Board of Directors for both the Thomas Chew Memorial Boys & Girls Club and the Fall River Office of Economic Development. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation, Inc. He resides in Rehoboth with his wife and children.

Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Melanie Cordeiro

Melanie Cordeiro serves as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC and Cordeiro Properties, LLC, where she oversees the companies’ marketing initiatives, branding efforts, and digital and social media strategies. Having been with the company for more than 10 years, she has played an integral role in the continued growth and community presence of the organizations. She also serves as Executive Director of the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation, Inc., focusing on initiatives that enrich the lives of children and families throughout the community.

Melanie began her career with Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC in 2011 as a part-time administrative assistant during her summer breaks while attending college. She graduated Cum Laude from Providence College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Following graduation, she worked as a Human Resources Analyst for Prima-CARE, P.C., before rejoining the Cordeiro family businesses in 2016.

In 2020, Melanie earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Charlton College of Business. She later earned her Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University in 2023.

Active in both healthcare and community leadership, Melanie serves on the President’s Council of Southcoast Hospitals Group and the Patient and Family Advisory Council of Southcoast Health. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Fall River and serves as a Commissioner on the Licensing Board for the City of Fall River.

In addition, Melanie is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southcoast Insurance Agents Association, a Corporator for BankFive, and a member of the Board of Directors for Community Connections. She previously served on the Board of Trustees for Argosy Collegiate Charter School.

A lifelong resident of Fall River, Melanie is deeply committed to supporting the city’s continued growth and revitalization through both her professional work and community involvement.

Outside of work and community service, Melanie enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Vice President & Account Executive

Merrill Cordeiro

Merrill Cordeiro serves as Vice President and Account Executive at Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, where she specializes in both personal and commercial insurance lines. In her leadership role, Merrill helps oversee the agency’s daily operations and supports the company’s continued growth and client service initiatives. Dedicated to providing exceptional client service, she works closely with individuals and businesses to help meet their diverse insurance needs and deliver personalized coverage solutions.

Merrill graduated Cum Laude from Salve Regina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing, earning a 3.6 GPA. During her time at Salve Regina, she also spent a semester studying abroad in London. She later earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2017.

Merrill currently holds her Property and Casualty insurance licenses and is pursuing her Life, Accident, and Health insurance license.

Committed to community involvement and charitable service, Merrill previously volunteered with the Thomas Chew Boys & Girls Club Gala Committee, the Faxon Animal Rescue League Gala Committee, and served on the Board of Directors for YEAH! She currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation, Inc., Vice President of the City Pier Board of Fall River, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southcoast Insurance Agents Association.

Outside of work, Merrill enjoys flipping houses with her husband, Joe, donating to various animal rescue organizations, and traveling.

Account Executive

Paul Rebello

Paul is an Account Executive with Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC, managing customer accounts across both Personal and Commercial Lines. With more than 37 years of experience in the insurance industry and as a valued member of the agency’s executive team since 2007, Paul is known for his hands-on approach, strong client relationships, and commitment to delivering personalized insurance solutions.

Paul believes in building one-on-one connections with clients to better understand their individual insurance needs and help secure the best possible coverage at the most competitive value. He is dedicated to providing responsive, dependable customer service and guiding clients through every step of the claims process to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

Paul holds licenses in Property & Casualty as well as Life, Accident, and Health Insurance. A native of Fall River who now resides in Assonet, Massachusetts, he remains deeply committed to serving his community and putting people first.

Aaron Couto

Aaron Couto is an Account Executive with Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC. Bringing extensive business and leadership experience from across Southeastern Massachusetts, Aaron is known for his entrepreneurial mindset, relationship-driven approach, and dedication to providing exceptional service to clients.

Aaron discovered his passion for business and building meaningful professional relationships while working as a Project Manager for his father’s successful mechanical plumbing company during college. After graduating, he served as Manager of Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill in Fall River, overseeing a staff of more than 70 employees. He later became the Owner and Operator of Clique Bar & Lounge, located on Fall River’s developing waterfront.

Aaron graduated from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management. In 2017, he was honored with the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Aaron obtained his Property and Casualty insurance license in 2018 and is currently pursuing his Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Nicole, as well as his two goddaughters, Ryleigh and Emma.

Steven Leonardo

Steve is an Account Executive with Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, LLC, managing customer accounts across both Personal and Commercial Lines. With decades of industry experience, Steve is committed to helping individuals and business owners protect and preserve their assets by ensuring their insurance programs provide the proper coverage at a fair and competitive value.

A member of the Cordeiro Insurance executive team, Steve brings more than 40 years of insurance industry experience to the agency, including his previous role with Viveiros Insurance. Known for his relationship-focused approach, Steve believes that trust, communication, and personalized service are essential in helping clients feel confident in their coverage decisions.

Steve also values the strong influence of Portuguese culture throughout the Greater Fall River area and understands the importance of making clients feel recognized, appreciated, and respected.

Jeffrey Sinkiewicz

As a newly licensed insurance agent at Cordeiro Insurance, Jeffrey brings a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to helping clients find the right coverage for their insurance needs. He holds his Property & Casualty insurance licenses. Jeffrey is a 1984 graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts at just 18 years old. As a proud small business owner, he understands the challenges and opportunities that come with running a business, offering a compassionate and insightful approach to insurance. His unique perspective allows him to offer his clients specialized insurance solutions tailored to the needs of their businesses, ensuring comprehensive protection and peace of mind.

Jeffrey owns and operates both a gastropub and an ice cream parlor. Outside of work, he is an avid bowler. He also enjoys traveling to Las Vegas, sports cars, and breeding Boston Terriers.

Debra Viveiros

Debra Viveiros is an Account Executive with Cordeiro Insurance and holds her Property & Casualty insurance licenses. In addition to her role in insurance, Debra is the Broker/Owner of Milestone Realty, Inc., with offices located in Taunton and Somerset, Massachusetts.

Debra has built her professional reputation around three core principles: communication, accessibility, and reliability. Through her relationship-focused approach, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional client service, she has consistently exceeded client expectations in both the insurance and real estate industries. Her background also includes more than 10 years of banking experience, providing clients with knowledgeable guidance and a seamless transaction experience.

A true entrepreneur, Debra and her husband, Keith, are also the owners of Society Coffee Bar, which now has four locations throughout the region in Taunton, Somerset, and New Bedford, Massachusetts, as well as East Providence, Rhode Island.

A resident of Berkley, Massachusetts, Debra enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her two dogs, Chino and Bogey.

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Robin Paulino

Robin is a focused and driven Account Manager with more than 47 years of experience managing both personal and commercial insurance accounts. Known for her dedication to client service and attention to detail, Robin works closely with clients to ensure they fully understand their insurance coverage and policy options.

Robin has earned the CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agent) designation and specializes in underwriting, rating, quoting, and communicating policy coverages and limits. She is committed to guiding clients through the insurance process with clarity and professionalism while helping them select coverage solutions that best fit their individual needs.

A proud Rhode Island native, Robin enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening in her free time.

Jessica Dempsey

Jessica has been a valued member of Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency for the past two years and serves as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. With a strong background in customer service, she brings a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to her role. Jessica specializes in trademark liability, start-up companies, and condo associations, helping clients navigate their commercial insurance needs with confidence and personalized service.

Committed to continued learning and professional growth within the insurance industry, Jessica values building strong relationships and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Jessica earned her degree in Mortuary Science from Fine Mortuary College and also attended University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she studied Psychology.

Jessica resides in East Freetown, Massachusetts with her husband, their three children, their dog, and two adopted kittens, Cassanova and Gustav. In December 2025, her family won East Freetown’s Christmas Lights town competition. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her family, cooking, and hiking.

Personal Lines Account Manager

Ashley Pimentel

Ashley Pimentel has been a valued member of Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency for 18 years. As part of the agency’s Personal Lines team, she specializes in both auto and home insurance, assisting clients with quotes, endorsements, billing, renewals, and day-to-day customer service needs.

Ashley is actively involved in the agency’s charitable and community initiatives. She participates in holiday gift wrapping efforts for My Brother’s Keeper alongside the agency team, donates through the office to Angels Anonymous, and volunteers at events hosted by the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending summers riding on the Slingshot with her fiancé, relaxing at the beach, and soaking up the sun.

Customer Service Representative

Francisca Do Rego Martins

Francisca is a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the customer service team at Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency. Currently a senior in the Business Technology program at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, she is also a dual enrollment student at Bristol Community College.

Fully bilingual in English and Portuguese, Francisca is a valuable asset in assisting the agency’s Portuguese-speaking clients and providing exceptional customer service.

Francisca is actively involved in several school organizations, including the National Technical Honor Society, where she serves as Ambassador, as well as Key Club and the Student Ambassador Program. She also participates in leadership and career development organizations such as SkillsUSA and DECA.

In the Fall of 2026, Francisca will attend University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she plans to major in Political Science on the Pre-Law track.

Outside of school and work, Francisca gives back to her community as a 5th grade CCD teacher’s aide and participates annually in a holiday toy drive. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and spending time with friends.

Administrative Assistant

Allyson Norbut

Allyson joined the Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency team with more than four years of experience as an administrative assistant, bringing strong organizational skills, creativity, and a positive attitude to her role.

A 2020 graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Allyson studied Graphic Communications before continuing her education at Bridgewater State University, where she is currently pursuing a degree in Communications.

In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, Allyson is passionate about giving back to her community and has volunteered at local soup kitchens through her church.

Outside of work, Allyson enjoys singing and performing in local theater productions, spending time at the beach, and writing and creating music with friends.
